Denmark's only Christmas museum is run by Christmas enthusiasts Benny and Brian Lillelund in their private home. It is the place where you can make Christmas memories bloom all year round. The collection contains more than 2,500 Christmas items. It's just not quite the same as visiting BILKA at the end of October, since the collection includes Christmas decorations dating back to the 1870s. Back then, it became truly popular to celebrate Christmas in Denmark.
The twin brothers Benny and Brian Lillelund opened the museum in 2015 in their private home to share their large collection of Christmas decorations with the rest of the world. The Christmas Museum is divided into periods and themes, and in addition to a lot of Christmas decorations, there are unopened Advent calendars and various collectibles.
At the same time, a small gallery with pictures of Benny Lillelund can also be visited.
Of course, you can buy some Christmas decorations to take home for your collection.
We recommend the experience for adults, mostly around Christmas time, unless you are a true Christmas enthusiast.
