Økolariet: Sustainable experiences and learning for all ages

Økolariet in Vejle can do something. It is an experience and learning country within sustainability. And it is exciting and educational regardless of age. The youngest learn about nature, how sewers work, and much more, and children and adults get the opportunity to learn and reflect.

Økolariet has a number of exhibitions you can explore. Below are our favorites.

The clogs - where you can, among other things, try to be flushed out into the sewer. You can also see live rats and learn how sewage water becomes clean water.

Fjord & Sea – Experience what lies beneath the surface in Vejle Fjord. You are surrounded by water, plants, and animals. You can, among other things, try facetime with the fish in Vejle Fjord.

Climate. The world is warming up The Eco-Lab's large exhibition on climate change. Find out how warm you are, how many Earths you use, and how Vejle Municipality is working to reduce climate impact and decrease the risk of flooding. Vejle Municipality's climate plan can be experienced interactively. And you can learn how to act more environmentally friendly.

The forest Explore beneath the Earth's surface and experience how much life exists under our feet. Also explore the forest along Vejle Ådal. Experience plenty of animals and plants from the forests along Vejle River Valley.

At Økolariet, you can also see how climate change affects the risk of flooding in Vejle city. And how the area will be flooded if a series of innovative and ambitious measures are not implemented to minimize the flood risk. Learn about Vejle Municipality's completed and planned initiatives.
